What is screen printing? - Screen printing is the process of transferring a stencilled design onto a flat surface using a mesh screen, ink and a squeegee. Fabric and paper are the most commonly screen-printed surfaces, but with specialised inks it's also possible to print onto wood, plastic and even glass.

Using Derivan's Screen Printing Kits for Fabric, you can make your t-shirts, fabric totes, or house décor items. It's simple, and everything you need is in the kit.

You'll need a surface that's easily accessible and the Derivan Screen Printing Kit for Fabric.

This kit contains all the equipment you need to screen print on t-shirts and other fabric items. With the kit, you'll create your own design on a large A4 screen printing frame, then squeegee it onto t-shirts, fabric items, and more.

Includes five colours of fabric paint, a brush, a palette knife (to mix colours), a squeegee (to spread paint), a screen drawing solution, and a screen block out.

The Block out should be left a minimum of 72 hours to dry. It is imperative that a test then be performed on an area of the block out, rubbing it with a damp cloth or finger, to make sure it has cured. If some colour comes up, leave it for another day before testing again.

In some climates it can take many days before the block out is cured so that it will not move when washing out the drawing fluid.
