The Amsterdam Standard Series offers you the broadest range of remarkably vibrant acrylic colors – all skillfully made based on a 100% acrylic emulsion and high-grade pigments. Enjoy great lightfastness and a choice of opacities. This medium viscosity paint is easy to work with an offers a smooth color when applied on its own. In combination with our various painting mediums, the paint becomes extremely versatile.

Acrylic colours are a quick-drying paint based on 100% acrylic resin (a synthetic dispersion). When applying acrylic colours thinly and/or thinned with water, a watercolour effect can be obtained. Usually, however, acrylic colours are applied thickly and the result appears like that of oil colours. Many artists prefer acrylic colours because acrylic colours dry much more quickly than oil colours and are practically odourless.

The six pearl colors in of the Amsterdam Standard Series range are included in this starter set. Try them and experience the new possibilities these colors offer. Mix them with transparent colours to create new metallics, use them in thin layers on dark surfaces to maximize the effect, or create subtle colour shimmering on light surfaces.
